BIM Update

FAP are progressing to BIM enabled working. This month we set targets for our development and training, ensuring we are capable of working on BIM projects of all sizes. We see BIM as the future for our studio, improving efficiency, effectiveness and most importantly - ensuring the majority of our time is spent designing!!

Planning permission approved

November 2013


At the end of October, FAP were pleased to recieve an approval for a new housing scheme in West Thurrock, Essex. 

The scheme is a redevelopment of land to provide 6 houses and 22 apartments with parking and private/communal gardens.


The site was particuarly challenging due to existing drainage conditions.  A below ground pressurised rising main 500mm in diameter runs across the proposal site from east to west. Furthermore, foul sewers at 150mm diameter and 300mm diameter run across the site both In east-west direction and north-south direction. FAP were keen to take on the design challenge and were confident that a scheme could be delivered to meet the client's brief.

Prince George born at the refurbished Lindo Wing

FAP Architects were excited to hear that Prince George was born in the newly refurbished Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital.

The Lindo Wing is a private healthcare facility at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. As part of our current Framework appointment we were employed as Architects and Lead Consultant for the extensive refurbishment of the lower ground to fourth floors, including reconfiguration of the existing layout to create three state of the art theatres (including a laminar flow and OR1 theatre suite), plus inpatient, day patient and staff facilities.


Our aim was to provide an increased level of comfort for obstetrics and general surgery private patients, incorporating modern technology with hotel style patient services and accommodation. The simple and elegant décor of the bedrooms was selected to create a clean, classic, modern hotel feel whilst ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness to satisfy infection control requirements.
