FAP Architects entry for this Visitor Centre promoted the aesthetic value of the surroundings by means of a design approach that was sensitive to the identity of place and responsive to the environmental issues.
The disposition of spaces, their indoor connections and the connections with the immediate surroundings allow the structure to be fully functional both for the visiting public and staff.
The design approach was focused around sustainability and minimising environmental impact.

feasibility study
A hospital trust asked FAP Architects to complete a full feasibility study to create a vision for future use of an existing underdeveloped site.
The proposal provides much needed additional accommodation to allow transfer and consolidation of services as part of a master plan for the whole hospital site.
The feasilibility study focuses on adjacencies whilst providing efficient use of space and land, as well as invigorating part of an area undergoing massive redevelopment.
